Al-Anon & Alateen

We're glad to welcome Al-Anon and Alateen to the Gold Coast AA Rally.

Al-Anon Family Groups is a fellowship for relatives and friends of alcoholics. Alateen is part of Al-Anon, for young people affected by someone else's drinking. Both run their own meetings at the rally, alongside the AA program, and we come together for some shared sessions (see the Program).

Cooperation, not affiliation. AA and Al-Anon are separate fellowships, each with its own purpose. Al-Anon's participation in our rally reflects the friendship and cooperation between our fellowships, in keeping with AA's Sixth Tradition. It's not an affiliation.
